This, be it understood, is the theory of the author
of the “Vestiges.” But our reviewer sets their
opinions at naught, and, in the true Trulliber vein,
very blandly says, “ Were all the anatomists on
earth against us, we should not abate one jot of our
confidence in the truth of our opinion.”
